Self Care, Stress Management + Burnout Prevention

 

When it comes to burnout, prevention is the best intervention. This workshop examines common sources of stress and offers practical strategies for self care, stress management, and preventing burnout. Our focus is on achieving life balance at school, work, and home. For helping professionals, we’ll also address compassion satisfaction, compassion fatigue, and secondary (vicarious) trauma. Participants will learn stress management tools such as time-use analysis, time management, and cognitive restructuring, and will practice simple and effective stress reduction techniques during the session such as progressive muscle relaxation, breathing exercises, and guided imagery. You will leave informed and feeling refreshed.
