Dr. Peggy Mitchell Clarke (“Dr. Peg”) is the CEO and Founder of Living Well Press, LLC and the Creator of The Living Well Solution™. She is a mental wellness expert, life purpose coach, speaker, and author who transforms core beliefs and habits to help individuals prosper, thrive, and experience lasting change.

A psychology professor who has taught for 20 years in Colorado and Virginia, Dr. Peg earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Brown University, and her M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia. She is certified in Transformation Prayer Ministry (TPM) and is an ordained minister and teacher through Global Change Network, USA.

Prior to teaching, Dr. Peg served as a psychotherapist in a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, including college counseling centers, an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) for police officers and firefighters, a community mental health agency, and a state psychiatric hospital. She also has experience as a college administrator and served as Associate Director of Career and Counseling Services at Christopher Newport University and the Director of Faculty Professional Development at Community College of Aurora.

An active community mental health advocate, Dr. Peg was a member of the Colorado State Board of Directors for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and served as an Executive Officer for the Denver-Rocky Mountain Association of Black Psychologists and the Virginia Association of Black Psychologists. She was also a member of the Board of Overseers for Global Change Network USA and Christian Vocational Training School (CVTS), and received the 2018 Woman of Greatness Award for Social Science and Counseling from The Connection Church and the 2014 Women of Good Deeds Award from Sigma Gamma Rho.

For eight years, Dr. Peg hosted and co-produced the popular radio program, Living Well with Dr. Peg, which aired on KLZ 560 AM, KRKS 94.7 FM, and KLDC 1220 AM in Denver. Prior to radio, Dr. Peg spent four years as the television host and co-producer for Perspectives and appeared weekly for four years as an expert panelist on Denver’s 9NEWS Morning Show (NBC affiliate).

The Tenth Anniversary Edition of Dr. Peg’s book, Do Something Different…For a Change: An Insider’s Guide to What Your Therapist Knows (But May Not Tell You) was released in 2018. She is also the author of Doggie Tales: Lessons on Life, Love, and Loss I Learned From My Dog and has written monthly columns for Body of Christ News, 5 Points News, and Fulton Kentucky News.

Reaching the world through her coaching, teaching, retreats, books, and radio show, Dr. Peg utilizes her life experiences, education, expertise, and passion to teach and guide individuals in living well and in their purpose.
