Dealing with Difficult People

 

There’s at least one difficult person in every group. This fun and informative workshop will help you to make sure it’s not you [smile]. Despite your best efforts to intervene, some people are unable or unwilling to conform their behavior to your expectations. In this workshop you will identify several common types of difficult people and the behaviors they exhibit, as well as the needs they are attempting to meet. In the extreme, some individuals can become demanding and aggressive. Participants will apply basic principles for active listening, boundary setting, and problem solving to enable you to have difficult conversations and de-escalate aggressive and problem behavior

2 to 6 hours

Can be customized for K12 schools, higher education institutions, the workplace, or government, community, and faith-based organizations. Multi-day training available on additional topics including conflict resolution, emotional intelligence (EIQ), and social emotional learning (SEL).
