Bounce Back From Stress + Burnout

Let’s face it; stress is unavoidable. And if it’s not managed effectively, chronic stress can lead to job dissatisfaction, depression, and burnout. Resilience is the ability to "bounce back" from difficult experiences or significant sources of stress. Fortunately, resilience is not a trait that people either have or don’t have. Resilience involves behaviors, thoughts, and actions that can be learned and developed in anyone.

This workshop examines common sources of stress and offers practical strategies for self care, building stress resilience, and preventing burnout.  Our focus is on achieving life balance at home, work, and/or school. Participants will learn stress management tools such as time-use analysis, time management, and cognitive restructuring, and will practice simple and effective stress reduction techniques during the session such as progressive muscle relaxation, breathing exercises, mindfulness, and guided imagery. For helping professionals, you’ll learn how to improve your “Professional Quality of Life” by addressing compassion satisfaction, compassion fatigue, and secondary (vicarious) trauma. You will leave informed, feeling refreshed, and better equipped to bounce back from stress.
